In Favour of Older Cats
Very many older cats have to be taken into rescue societies through no fault of their own. Many have come from loving, secure homes but the human has gone into a home or, more often died and nobody else to care for it.
So many people want young cats – thinking they will live longer – but that is just a gamble which is often lost. More cats of up to 3 years of age get hit by cars than any other age group, most not surviving. Also cats - like humans – can develop diseases and problems at any age.
Older cats are usually good companions – They have been there – done that and now want love and security, many still have kitten still inside and love to play.
So please don’t overlook considering an appreciative mature cat.
